Saint Philip Parish offers a number of special Service Ministries not only to the parish community, but also to those in our surrounding communities:

Allegheny Valley School Outreach

Tuesday visits to AVS have taken place for many, many years as parishioners have brought prayer and song to these special residents. Located in Ingram, AVS is a local institution that provides special care for physically challenged adults. The AVS community has been a part of our parish at Thanksgiving Mass and during their annual Christmas Gathering in Conner Hall. For more info or to join this ministry, please contact Dona at 412-922-6033.

Knights of Columbus

The Chartiers Council of the KOC meets twice monthly to discuss and plan various events throughout the year. The KOC is a men’s fellowship fraternity that supports parishes and various Catholic charities throughout the year. For more information, or to join this men’s ministry, please contact Jake Dulick at jdulick87@gmail.com.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The SVdP Society is an international voluntary organization founded in 1833 for the sanctification of its members by personal service to the poor. St. Philip Parish has its own SVdP Conference and is one of the most active in the entire Diocese of Pittsburgh. Our SVdP Conference also has its own food bank, which serves the local community. Meetings are held in the Hope House (located next to the St. Philip Convent) every Tuesday evening. For more info or to join this ministry, please contact them at svdp.saint.philip@gmail.com.
